Becoming a Client

The Summit Group cherishes the opportunity to get to know you and help you obtain your goals. Out team strives to apply our industry expertise to help you plan and work towards financial independence so that you can live your life to the fullest and focus on what matters to you most.


The first step that we will take is to schedule a 30 minute call where we take the time to get to know each other. This conversation is very important as it will determine if our industry expertise will match your needs. During this meeting we will want to learn more about what is most important to you and your family so that we can develop a successful partnership in the future.


The second step is to set aside a time to hold our Discovery meeting. During this meeting we will take a deep dive into learning more about you and your family’s goals, values, and aspirations for the future. This discussion will give our team the ability to developing a personalized roadmap that will highlight your goals and help you manage your wealth while discussing potential concerns along the way. The personalized roadmap will serve as a transparent tool to understanding your financial position and guide us to target specific areas that are most important to you. Throughout this process we will make sure to share ideas, suggestions, investment philosophies, services, fees, and answer any questions that you may have.


The third step is to show how meaningful the collaboration with our team can be to your family. The purpose of the Assessment meeting is to continue to build on the Discovery meeting. During this time we will make enhancements to your personalized roadmap and make assessments of your current financial status and provide additional guidance on areas of focus that will help you achieve your goals long term.


At the time of the fourth step, you will now have a full picture on how we will work together with you. At this time we will ask you if you are ready to move forward and continue the partnership with the Summit Group. If you need time to make this decision, no rush! Our team has been serving families for over 60 years and we understand the importance and weight of this decision. Most importantly, we want you to feel great about it!


During the fifth step, we are thrilled to partner and serve you! Moving forward we have the opportunity to solidify and implement your strategy. Our next step is for you to complete our new client paperwork. Additionally we will also wan to collect and review important planning documents such as tax returns, account statements, wills, trusts, insurance policies, and so on. All of these documents are major pieces of your personalized financial roadmap.


The final step is to come back together and review the full strategy and recommendations after we have analyzed all of you important documents. During this time we will discuss what is most important to you and prioritize those and work toward implementing strategies to help you achieve those. We will review our investment philosophy, your accounts, online access, and any action items. It is our goal is to build a relationship with you that will exude trust and collaboration so that you get the most out of our partnership. Moving forward we will serve you with by reaching out proactively, hold regular scheduled meetings, and consistently monitor your personalized financial roadmap.
